Definition:

Gigantism is described as accelerated growth during childhood from the production of excess growth hormone. By definition, gigantism must occur during childhood before the growth plates in the long bones of the body (for example, the femur or humerus) have closed.

In adults, the condition is called acromegaly.

Symptom:

Symptoms of gigantism

a large head
a very noticeable forehead
a jaw that seems to jut out
unusual features of the face, such as a broad nose
very large hands and feet, with thick fingers and toes
more sweating than usual
a very large appetite
general weakness

Symptoms of acromegaly

Acromegaly can cause a wide range of symptoms, which tend to develop very slowly over time.

Early symptoms include:

swollen hands and feet – you may notice a change in your ring or shoe size
tiredness and difficulty sleeping, and sometimes sleep apnoea
gradual changes in your facial features, such as your brow, lower jaw and nose getting larger, or your teeth becoming more widely spaced
numbness and weakness in your hands, caused by a compressed nerve (carpal tunnel syndrome)

Children

Apply 30 drops of the Spinal Therapy (Kidz), in the evening, over the spine.

Diffuse throughout the night, while sleeping:
