Dear Lechi, Alette
There truly are no words to fully express my gratitude… but I will try.
Thank you. Thank you from the depths of my heart. This journey—The Forty Days Body Reset—has been LIFE-CHANGING. I first heard about it through Alette’s post on Instagram. It immediately caught my attention. I’ve tried every diet and program you can think of… and I was always on board.
But with this, something was different. The Lord had been speaking to me for a long time about joining this program. When the first Body Reset group started, I didn’t listen. I was disobedient. Every time Alette posted an update, I would feel that nudge from the Holy Spirit again—but I kept trying to silence it. Still… it wouldn’t go away.
I even spoke to friends and found every excuse under the sun NOT to do it. But all the signs were pointing in the same direction: this was for me.
And oh boy, am I glad I finally listened. Praise God. All the glory belongs to Him.
I literally signed up the day before it started. And from day one, I felt this peace, this deep calm that I can’t even describe to anyone. Throughout the journey, God kept giving me the word “RESTORE.”
It was time to restore:
Restore myself.
Restore my relationships – with friends, family, my husband, my children.
And most importantly, restore my relationship with Him.
People say this is more than just about weight loss—and I wholeheartedly agree. The weight loss is just a bonus. I feel lighter in every possible way. God has truly restored every area of my life. I feel like a new person. I’ve fallen in love with myself again—not in a prideful way, but in a “God-created-me-for-more” kind of way.
I had to dig deep. I had to reopen old wounds. But God is so good. I can truly say that He walked beside me every single step. He held my hand through it all.
This was one of the most profound experiences of my life.
Another word God gave me during this journey was “SEASON.” A
season to prune. Prune the tree. Prune me. Prune friendships that are no longer part of where God is taking me.
And WOW—God pruned me.
Was it easy? No.
But was it worth it? Absolutely.
And the reward? So, so sweet.
To anyone reading or hearing a post and feeling that small voice or gentle nudge in your heart… DO IT. Don’t ignore it. That’s the Holy Spirit leading you.
