Stye in eye (karkatjie)

Condition:

A red, painful lump near the edge of the eyelid that may look like a boil or pimple.

A stye can develop after the small glands that line the eyelid get plugged.

In most cases, a stye will begin to disappear on its own in a few days.

Styes are often filled with pus. Sometimes a stye can form on the inner part of the eyelid.

People may experience:

Eyes: puffy or watery eyes
Also common: lump on the eyelid or eyelid tenderness
