Technical Information
The Fungi Topical Blend is designed for external application to treat and prevent fungal infections. It is specifically formulated to address a wide range of fungal issues affecting the skin, such as athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), ringworm, jock itch (tinea cruris), and yeast infections (candidiasis).
The blend uses potent antifungal oils with proven biological effects against fungi, helping to eliminate infections, soothe irritated skin, and prevent recurrence.
What is a Fungal Infection?
Fungi are a diverse group of organisms, including yeasts, molds, and dermatophytes (skin-invading fungi), that can cause various infections. Fungal infections often thrive in moist, warm body areas, such as between toes, under skin folds, and in the genital area. They can affect skin, nails, mucous membranes, and in more severe cases, internal organs.
Common symptoms of fungal infections on the skin include:
- Redness and inflammation.
- Itching and irritation.
- Cracking or peeling of the skin.
- Rashes with raised edges.
- Blisters or pustules in some cases.
Internal fungal infections, like those caused by Candida, can result in systemic issues such as fatigue, digestive problems, and immune suppression.
Biological Mechanism of the Blend:
This Fungi Topical Blend works through a combination of membrane disruption, metabolic interference, and inhibition of fungal growth. The active compounds from these essential oils—primarily phenols, terpenes, and aldehydes—target the integrity of fungal cell walls, leading to leakage of intracellular material and cell death. These oils kill the existing fungal organisms and prevent the spread of spores and recurrence by inhibiting biofilm formation and spore germination.
Additionally, the blend provides relief from inflammation, itching, and irritation, common symptoms associated with fungal infections. The moisturizing properties of olive oil help repair damaged skin, while the cooling effect of peppermint and the anti-inflammatory actions of various oils promote faster healing.
FOR TOPICAL USE.
Adults: Apply over the affected area of the skin or nail/s, as necessary, or twice daily. Massage gently into the skin until fully absorbed.
Children between 6-16 years: Same as adults
For best results, massage the oil into the skin in circular motions, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate and provide relief.
We recommend using this blend with Hadassah’s Parasite Detox Protocol (treatment plan).
FOR TOPICAL USE ONLY
Pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as individuals with pre-existing medical conditions or those taking prescription medications, should consult a healthcare provider before using this product.
Keep out of children’s reach.
Avoid it during the first trimester of pregnancy and while breastfeeding (contains peppermint).
Do a patch test before using it on a larger skin area. Discontinue use if redness, irritation, or other discomfort occurs.
Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas, if contact occurs, rinse well with water.
Store in a cool and dry place, away from heat and direct sunlight.
Not suitable for diffusers, only undiluted pure essential oils may be used.

Primary Ingredients
Mechanisms of Action of Active Ingredients:
- Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia)
- Antifungal Mechanism: Tea tree oil contains high levels of terpinen-4-ol, a compound that disrupts fungal cell membranes by altering their permeability. This causes the leakage of essential cell contents, leading to fungal death. It has been effective against Candida albicans, Trichophyton species (common in athlete’s foot), and other dermatophytes.
- Anti-inflammatory Role: Tea tree oil also helps reduce inflammation and soothe the skin, making it useful in calming the irritation caused by fungal infections.
- Red Thyme Oil (Thymus vulgaris)
- Thymol and carvacrol are the primary active compounds in red thyme oil. These molecules disrupt fungal cell wall integrity by penetrating and damaging the lipid membranes, causing cellular dysfunction and eventual death of the fungus.
- Antimicrobial Spectrum: Red thyme oil has shown effectiveness against Aspergillus, Candida, and dermatophytes, making it a powerful broad-spectrum antifungal agent.
- Clove Oil (Eugenia caryophyllata)
- Eugenol, the main bioactive compound in clove oil, exhibits strong antifungal properties. Eugenol interferes with the enzymatic activity of fungal cells, inhibiting energy production and preventing replication.
- Inhibition of Biofilm Formation: Clove oil has been found to prevent biofilm formation by fungi, particularly Candida, making it useful for preventing recurrence of infections.
- Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita)
- Antifungal Activity: Peppermint oil contains menthol and menthone, which exhibit antifungal properties by altering fungal cell membrane permeability. Studies show it is particularly effective against Candida albicans.
- Cooling and Anti-inflammatory Effect: Peppermint oil also provides a cooling sensation that reduces itching and irritation associated with fungal infections.
- Oregano Oil (Origanum vulgare)
- Carvacrol and thymol, two potent compounds in oregano oil, work synergistically to disrupt fungal cell walls, leading to the leakage of intracellular material and cell death.
- Broad-Spectrum Action: Oregano oil is highly effective against a wide range of fungi, including Candida and dermatophytes, due to its strong fungicidal activity. It also exhibits antibacterial effects, making it beneficial in cases of secondary bacterial infections.
- Lemongrass Oil (Cymbopogon citratus)
- Citral and limonene in lemongrass oil target the fungal cell membrane, leading to a loss of structural integrity. Lemongrass oil also inhibits fungal spore germination, preventing the spread of infection.
- Antifungal Spectrum: It has demonstrated effectiveness against yeasts like Candida and molds such as Aspergillus species.
- Eucalyptus Radiata Oil (Eucalyptus radiata)
- Cineole (1,8-cineole), the primary active compound in eucalyptus oil, exhibits antifungal properties by interfering with the respiration of fungal cells, causing oxidative stress and cellular damage.
- Immune Support: Eucalyptus oil also enhances local immune responses, helping the body fight off fungal infections more efficiently.
- Lemon Oil (Citrus limon)
- Limonene and citral in lemon oil exhibit antifungal activity by disrupting the fungal cell membrane and reducing the ability of fungi to adhere to surfaces. This is particularly useful for preventing reinfection.
- Astringent Effect: Lemon oil also helps dry out the infected area, creating an unfavourable environment for fungal growth.
- Cinnamon Bark Oil (Cinnamomum zeylanicum)
- Cinnamaldehyde, the main component of cinnamon bark oil, has potent antifungal effects, particularly against Candida species. Cinnamaldehyde inhibits fungal cell growth by causing membrane damage and inhibiting vital metabolic processes within fungal cells.
- Anti-inflammatory and Wound Healing: Cinnamon bark oil also possesses anti-inflammatory properties, reducing swelling and promoting faster recovery from fungal infections.
- Olive Oil (Olea europaea)
- Carrier and Moisturizer: Olive oil acts as a base oil, providing a smooth, easily absorbable medium to deliver the active antifungal compounds to the skin. It also moisturizes dry, cracked skin, a common side effect of fungal infections.
- Oleuropein in olive oil has been studied for its mild antifungal activity, supporting the overall efficacy of the blend.
