Technical Information
The Diarrhoea Blend is designed to relieve acute and chronic diarrhoea by addressing underlying causes such as infections, inflammation, and gastrointestinal dysregulation. This blend supports gut health, reduces inflammation, and helps regulate bowel movements. It is ideal for individuals experiencing digestive distress, intestinal inflammation, or infections that cause diarrhoea.
Biological and Biochemical Process of Diarrhoea:
Diarrhoea is characterized by frequent, loose, or watery stools and can be caused by various factors, including infections, inflammation, food intolerances, and stress. Infections from bacteria, viruses, or parasites can lead to inflammation of the intestines, causing excessive fluid secretion into the intestines and rapid transit of stool.
Inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, whether due to infection, autoimmune diseases (such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis), or food allergies, disrupts the gut lining, leading to malabsorption of nutrients and water, which contributes to diarrhoea. Additionally, certain conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), can trigger abnormal bowel motility, either slowing down or speeding up digestion, with diarrhoea being a common symptom.
When diarrhoea occurs, the body loses essential electrolytes and fluids, leading to dehydration and further digestive dysfunction. This blend works by addressing the underlying causes of diarrhoea, whether it’s infection, inflammation, or digestive imbalance, while restoring the body’s natural digestive rhythm.
How This Blend Works:
- Infection Control: Oregano and cinnamon bark oils are particularly effective in combating bacterial, viral, or parasitic infections that could be causing diarrhoea. They help eliminate harmful pathogens, reducing the need for the body to flush them out through excessive bowel movements.
- Reducing Inflammation: Ingredients such as ginger, frankincense, and chamomile work to reduce inflammation in the gut lining, promoting healing and restoring healthy intestinal function. This action is crucial for managing chronic diarrhoea caused by conditions like IBS or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
- Digestive Regulation: Peppermint, ginger, and cardamom oils help regulate digestive motility, preventing the hyperactive peristalsis (intestinal muscle contractions) that often lead to diarrhoea. These oils also reduce cramping, bloating, and discomfort by soothing the gut’s smooth muscles.
- Soothing the Gut Lining: Roman chamomile and frankincense calm irritated gut linings, promoting healing of the mucosa and improving nutrient and water absorption. This helps prevent excessive water loss through the stool.
- Improved Bile Secretion and Nutrient Absorption: Lemon and ginger oils support the production of bile, improving fat digestion and preventing the malabsorption of nutrients that can contribute to diarrhoea.
Indications:
- Acute or chronic diarrhoea.
- Diarrhoea caused by infections (bacterial, viral, or parasitic).
- Inflammatory bowel conditions (e.g., Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis).
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with diarrhoea.
- Digestive inflammation and bloating.
- Gut dysbiosis or imbalance of gut flora.
Who Can Use It: This blend is suitable for those experiencing diarrhoea or digestive discomfort due to infections, inflammation, or gastrointestinal disorders. pregnant or breastfeeding women, or individuals with chronic gastrointestinal conditions without consulting a healthcare provider.

This blend helps treat the underlying causes of diarrhoea while supporting overall digestive health, offering a natural approach to restoring normal bowel function and soothing inflammation.
We recommend using this blend with Hadassah’s Digestive and Colon herbal tincture, the Diarrhoea herbal tincture, Diatoms, Rawbiotics Daily and probiotics, and the Mineral Infusion (50ml 200ml) in water.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
All our blend’s come in a 30ml glass bottle, with a glass pipette and a rubber bulb on top. Don’t forget to buy empty veggie capsules when purchasing an ingestible blend. (Our veggie capsules are now available in 90’s and 150’s).
Never pre-fill capsules for future use, as this will compromise the veggie capsule and melt. Instead, always fill the capsules just before drinking it. (But if no other option, only prepare up to 3 days’ supply. You MUST then keep them upright in the refrigerator in a marked container; to know which blend it is filled with.)
Method – open the veggie capsule, then open your blend, squeeze and release the rubber bulb to draw the oil blend up into the glass pipette dropper. Then gently squeeze the rubber bulb to fill the larger part of the open capsule. Close the capsule before drinking it. Dosage is always a full capsule of a specific blend (between 15 to 18 drops).
If you have to drink more than one capsule a day, spread them throughout the day, never more than two capsules at a time. Spreading the capsules throughout the day assists the body with proper absorption. Always good to have a very small snack/fruit before drinking capsules.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as individuals with pre-existing medical conditions or those taking prescription medications, should consult a healthcare provider before using this product.
Keep out of children’s reach.
Avoid it during the first trimester of pregnancy and while breastfeeding (contains peppermint).
Do a patch test before using it on a larger skin area. Discontinue use if redness, irritation, or other discomfort occurs.
Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas, if contact occurs, rinse well with water.
Store in a cool and dry place, away from heat and direct sunlight.
Not suitable for diffusers, only undiluted pure essential oils may be used.

Primary Ingredients
Active Ingredients and Mechanism of Action:
- Peppermint
Peppermint oil has strong antispasmodic properties due to its high menthol content. This helps relax the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, reducing cramping, bloating, and intestinal spasms associated with diarrhoea. It also soothes inflammation and supports bile production, promoting better digestion and absorption of nutrients while reducing the urgency and frequency of bowel movements. - Ginger
Ginger is a well-known remedy for gastrointestinal discomfort, particularly effective in reducing nausea and diarrhoea. It works by increasing gastric motility and improving digestion. The bioactive compounds gingerol and shogaol help reduce inflammation in the gut, calm hyperactive bowel movements, and combat nausea. Additionally, ginger acts as a prokinetic agent, helping regulate the passage of food and reducing the risk of bloating and indigestion. - Lemon
Lemon oil, rich in limonene, supports the digestive system by promoting bile production and improving digestion, especially of fats. This enhances nutrient absorption and reduces the occurrence of diarrhoea caused by indigestion. Its antibacterial and antiviral properties help combat infections that could be responsible for diarrhoea, while its anti-inflammatory action soothes the digestive tract. - Cinnamon Bark
Cinnamon bark has potent antimicrobial and antifungal properties, making it effective against infections that may be causing diarrhoea. It helps to restore balance to the gut microbiome and reduces excessive fluid secretion in the intestines. Its anti-inflammatory effects help soothe irritated mucosal linings in the digestive tract, while its ability to slow down gastrointestinal motility can help reduce the frequency of diarrhoea. - Cardamom
Cardamom oil is effective in treating digestive discomfort due to its carminative and antispasmodic properties. It helps reduce gas, bloating, and cramping, which often accompany diarrhoea. Cardamom also supports the regulation of bowel movements by improving digestion and reducing intestinal inflammation, aiding in the overall stabilization of the gastrointestinal system. - Roman Chamomile
Roman chamomile is renowned for its calming and anti-inflammatory properties. It soothes the digestive system, reducing spasms and inflammation in the gut. Chamomile also has mild sedative effects, which can reduce the stress or anxiety that may contribute to diarrhoea. Its anti-inflammatory action on the gut mucosa promotes healing and helps restore normal bowel function. - Oregano
Oregano oil is a powerful antimicrobial agent due to its high carvacrol content. It helps eliminate bacterial, viral, and parasitic infections in the gut, which are common causes of diarrhoea. Oregano oil also has antioxidant properties, reducing inflammation in the digestive tract and supporting the restoration of healthy gut flora. This is especially useful in preventing chronic diarrhoea caused by gut dysbiosis (microbial imbalance). - Frankincense
Frankincense supports gut health by reducing inflammation, particularly in the intestines. Its anti-inflammatory compounds, such as boswellic acids, help heal damaged gut linings, which are often compromised in cases of chronic diarrhoea. Additionally, frankincense has immune-modulating effects, which can help reduce the overactive immune responses associated with certain inflammatory bowel diseases that cause diarrhoea. - Olive Oil
Olive oil acts as a carrier in this blend, enhancing the absorption of the essential oils and supporting digestive health. Olive oil is rich in monounsaturated fats and antioxidants, which help reduce inflammation and support the digestive system’s overall function. It also stimulates bile production, improving fat digestion and aiding in the normalization of bowel movements.
