Technical Information
Our natural herbal supplement is popular and known for its potential detoxifying properties.
It is a fine black powder made from various sources like coconut shells, wood, or coal, and it is treated to become “activated,” which means it has a highly porous surface. The porous structure allows activated charcoal to bind to certain toxins and chemicals, preventing their absorption into the body and facilitating their elimination.
Activated Charcoal is a great first-aid capsule, often used in emergency rooms to treat substance overdose or poison.
Benefits:
– Alkalizes the body.
– Ph. Balance and acidity.
– Rich in trace minerals.
– Aids in kidney health.
– Anti-aging.
– Improves heart health.
– Detoxifies.
– Diarrhoea – research shows that it might be able to prevent bacteria and drugs that can cause diarrhoea from being absorbed into the body by trapping them on its porous, textured surface.
Deodorant: Activated charcoal deodorants are widely available, and popular for absorbing smells and other harmful gases. These properties make it an ideal underarm, shoe, and refrigerator deodorant.
Gastrointestinal absorbent in overdoses and poisonings. Relieves digestive issues, gas, and bloating.
Skincare: Activated charcoal can help draw microparticles, such as dust, dirt, chemicals, toxins, and bacteria to the skin surface, making removal of such particles easier
Skin infection: Activated charcoal may have an antibacterial effect by absorbing harmful microbes from sores and wounds.
Very few side effects.
Water filtration.
Activated charcoal can help clear toxins and drugs including the following:
– NSAIDS and OTC anti-inflammatory, sedatives, calcium channel blockers, Dasone, Carbamazepine (Tegretol), malaria medications, Methylxanthines (stimulants).
Please note that Activated Charcoal cannot bind to all types of toxins in drugs, especially corrosive ones, like:
– Alcohols
– Lye
– Iron
– Lithium
– Petroleum products, such as fuel oil, gasoline (petrol), paint thinners, and certain cleaning products.
Drink capsules 20 minutes before meals. For those with a sensitive stomach, drink capsules half an hour to an hour, after a meal, for optimal absorption.
Adults: 2 Capsules, three times daily, for nutritional use.
Suitable for children over 4 years old; half the dosage.
If a child or adult ingests any poison like a poisonous plant, paraffin, or pills, give 10 capsules immediately. Get them to the hospital immediately!
The person must take Activated Charcoal within 0-30 minutes hours of consuming a toxin, for it to be effective!
It cannot be effective if the person has already digested the toxin or drug, and it is no longer in the stomach.
Generally considered safe for short-term use in pregnant and breastfeeding women when taken at appropriate doses. However, it’s essential to exercise caution and consult with a healthcare professional before using any supplements during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Activated charcoal is not absorbed by the body and stays in the gastrointestinal tract, where it adsorbs substances. As a result, it is unlikely to be absorbed into the bloodstream and affect the developing foetus.
It’s important to note that while activated charcoal has potential benefits, it can also interfere with the absorption of certain medications, vitamins, and minerals. Therefore, it’s essential to take activated charcoal supplements at least two hours apart from other medications and supplements.
Protect from sunlight. Store below 25°c.
